Sam Phillips, At a Glance
Mr. Phillips began his career as an engineering apprentice with British Leyland in 1979 where he gained strong knowledge of the industry and understanding of the business. He quickly progressed in the industry, working for Croda Chemicals in a variety of roles. Mr. Phillips then served as the senior manager at CDI Computer Services, strategy manager at Ford Motor Company, and client executive at Hewlett-Packard. Throughout the duration of his career, which spans more than three decades, Mr. Phillips has become a recognized and driven leader whose strengths lie within software integration, process engineering, and creating strategic partnerships. He also worked on a variety of overseas assignments and integrated technology providers for many countries.
Mr. Phillips earned a master’s degree in engineering management at Wayne State University and holds a six sigma black belt certification. For his hard work, he received the stirling award while working in the United Kingdom. To keep abreast of changes in his field, Mr. Phillips is affiliated with a variety of industry groups and organizations.
